Tiny drops of experiences collated from the roof of our journeys in life become the ocean upon which we sail to greatness. -Ikechukwu Izuakor
What a journey our chamber roof has provided our building committee! Quotes, insurance adjusters, and more, oh my! Thank you to our committee volunteers for their due diligence, many many hours of research and for being good stewards of the chamber’s resources. Take a look next time you drive down Sorrento Avenue, she’s a beauty.
We would like to profusely thank Mount Plymouth- Sorrento CRA for awarding us a Facade Improvement Program Grant which helped towards paying for our new roof. The Facade Only Rebate Program helps East Lake Businesses and Residences within the CRA Boundary improve the appearance of their buildings, increase property values and contribute to an overall positive appearance within the designated CRA (matching up to $2500). The application process was easy!
We are so grateful to the Mount Plymouth – Sorrento CRA and Lake County Zoning and Planning for their assistance and encourage businesses and residents within the CRA to apply. Click the link below for additional program information and the application.
Thanks also to member Skymark Roofing for our fabulous new roof and getting us scheduled and completed before the rainy season. We look forward to the journeys ahead!
Your East Lake County Chamber of Commerce is doing its part to keep our members and East Lake Community safe during the Stay at Home Order. Our office building is temporarily closed, however we are still open for business and working for you remotely. You can reach us via phone call or email. Also, many of our regular events have gone virtual. Check out Pancake TV with Pam and Valerie via our facebook page. (Or click the graphic below). Watch your email for additional chamber meetings and events being held online. We will get through this, together! We are #elcchamber STRONG!
As the coronavirus spreads and additional restrictions are put into place, it is imperative that we continue to support our small businesses in these uncertain times. Despite the challenges our small business owners are currently facing, they and their employees are still showing up, serving and giving back to our community.
Please visit our chamber member business directory and show these businesses some love. Let them know they are an integral part of our community. Follow them on social media and stay abreast of changes they may have to their hours or services. Many are offering online shopping, delivery or curbside service. Consider purchasing a gift card now, for later use. It all helps. #elcchamber

Our Chamber Membership Directory is a listing of businesses in the Greater East Lake Area who are committed to our community and want to become your customers, vendors, and peers. We have made it easy to find our members by providing an online database that can be accessed from our website as well as a beautiful, professionally printed color directory that is distributed throughout the county and can also be accessed online.
Dee Johns, Senior Marketing Director of Directories Ink will contact members in January, on behalf of the East Lake Chamber, for additional advertising opportunities in the 2018 edition. You must be a member in good standing to be listed. If you have any questions about your membership, please contact the chamber at 352-383-8801. If you would like information on advertising in our next printed directory, please call Dee at 954-495-7358.
