  • A Harmonious & Happening Community

Our community is filled with a wonderfully diverse group of businesses, organizations and volunteers all working for the betterment of East Lake County.  East Lake is YOUR community. We invite you to attend and actively participate in these fun, family friendly community events!

Friends of the Library are holding their 16th Annual Spring Fling at the East Lake Library April 12th from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. This event features arts and crafts, business expos, a community yard sale, raffles, food and a pre-owned book sale. All proceeds directly benefit our local library. In conjunction with Spring Fling, the East Lake County Library will hold its 12th Annual Bluegrass Festival. Bring a chair, sit a spell and enjoy the amazing sounds of the Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band.

A Bluegrass Open Jam is offered to the public that same evening at the Cassia Community Club, from 6-8 p.m. Proceeds from the Open Jam keep the club’s many programs running.

Sorrento Elementary PTO is hosting a blood drive 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. on April 26th. Participants will receive a movie ticket and may generously donate it back to the PTO to be redistributed for teacher appreciation week. On May 20th Sorrento Elementary PTO is hosting an evening of laughter, 5:30 – 7 p.m., as they raise money with Red Nose Day in mind; a charity movement to help children in poverty. All proceeds benefit Lake Cares Food Pantry.

The 3rd Annual Heritage Day, presented by the East Lake Historical Society is May 21st, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Featuring a civil war reenactment camp, country store, children’s crafts, historical artifacts, Ike the Eagle and more.
