Step back in time and plan for a fantastic day of fun at the 3rd Annual East Lake Heritage Festival! This historical and cultural event is presented by the East Lake Historical Society and offers bluegrass music, civil war reenactments, skilled demonstrations, historical artifacts, a country store, food, educational booths, and local business representation. Heritage Day is this Saturday, May 21st from 9-3 on the East Lake Library grounds.
Bring the kids for crafts, face painting, shaved ice and Ike the Eagle. General Ulysses S. Grant (actor portrayal) will speak at noon! Don't forget your chair so you may sit a spell, enjoy the beautiful sounds of Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band and reflect on times gone by.
Be sure to stop by and visit our Heritage Day booth! Your East Lake County Chamber of Commerce is offering up delicious regular and cajun boiled peanuts for purchase and we have custom bluebird houses for sale. We hope to see you at the festival!
